Lesson 8![]()
Business Management Treat It Like a Business - Having a DHS Club business has many benefits, including being affordable to start and flexible as far as when and how you work it. However don't let these benefits diminish the importance and necessity to treat your DHS Club business like a business. If you treat it casually as simply a membership or a possible way to make some money, you will not develop a successful business, a residual income or attain financial freedom. Like any business, your DHS Club business will require an investment of time to become educated and to work at your business. It will require you to work without seeing immediate results and to be determined to become a professional.
Review your Business Manual - The Business Manual link is at the Business Information area at your VIP Control Center. The manual contains very important information, guidelines, forms and policies to run your business. Familiarize yourself with the different sections of the manual, and bookmark (or add to favorites) any pages that you think you will be using frequently. In Business For Your Self, But Not By Your Self - As you have learned, you will have help getting your Membership Network started from other VIP Team Coaches. These people have taken and completed the same courses you will take and have been approved and are qualified to act as a Team Coach. Each one has a different Role and set of responsibilities to perform for their network as follows: Builder Team Coach - Primary prospectors and network builders. They have completed Course and Step 5 and understand and implement basic TNT strategy, utilizing the various reports, functions and programs available to them as ClubAdvantage subscribers, to perform their Role. Strategist Team Coach - Take the Strategist Course to master and learn advanced TNT strategies to direct your teams efforts and qualify at the "Silver Manager" pay level. Also begin to take additional e-Business Institute Communications Courses and learn how to communicate more effectively with prospects, Members and VIPs. Trainer Team Coach - Take the Training Manager course and become the primary trainer for your network. Learn how to communicate with VIPs to encourage them, motivate them and help them with their training to qualify at the "Gold Manager" pay level. Director In Charge Of Marketing - Take the Marketing Director course and learn how to market products and services to your network to boost volume and increase your income to the "Ruby Director" pay level. Director In Charge Of Promotions - Take the Promotions Director course and learn how to help your team achieve new pay levels and recognize promotions and become an "Emerald Director". Also begin to take the additional e-Business Institute Leadership Courses and learn how to become an effective leader and how to supervise your network. Network Chief - This VIP has completed Course and Step 10 and has overall oversight responsibility for the network and the Team Coaches. Your initial goal, once you have completed the Trainee Courses, is to become the Network Builder for your network. That is the only way to assure your self that you have the knowledge and the ability to build a large network and a recurring, residual income. Until then, be in contact with your Team Coaches and let them know what you are doing and get counseling from them to ensure that you are doing the right things at each stage in your business. While you go from step to step, you will want to delegate each Role that you have achieved to VIPs in each line of sponsorship that you have. When you become a Builder, you want to take the next step and become the Communicator and delegating the Builder Role to other VIPs in your network. Ultimately, you will want to reach the Role of Network Chief and then be able to delegate that role to other VIPs.
Many times, family members can see your new business as competition for them. Although you are probably working at it to benefit them, they may not see it that way until they see you making money with it. Don't expect them to have the faith that you may have, as they won't know what you know and are learning or see things the way that you are able to see them. In order to make sure that you succeed in building your business, you will need to make a time commitment to your self. And to get your family's cooperation and understanding, you will need to balance your business time commitments with family time commitments too. A scheduled "date night" with your spouse will go a long ways in them allowing and even encouraging you to spend time working on your computer or being out doing ClubBucks presentations. Your assignment for this lesson is to go to your Business Manual and read all of the policies. |
